Pics of the Mahogany LSIM's

Anybody got any actual pics of the Mahogany LSIM's? I'm particularly interested in the 703's, but any of them will give me an idea of what the finish looks like. It's really hard to tell what the finish looks like from the stock pics.

Thanks!

I dig the cherry. I saw a pair in cherry at a dealer, so I know how they look. I've just never seen the Mahogany. DMara's pics in that thread are like the only real pics of that finish anywhere on the internet! lol.

You asked for it  Here are my LSiM 707's - LSiM 706c - LSi 702 F/X HT set and the newly acquired Usher Dancer Mini 2 Diamond DMD 2-channel set. I'm quite surprised the Polk Audio LSiM 707 and Usher Dancer Mini 2 Diamond DMD are very similar in size.

Hey, how would you compare the MD-2's to the 707''s sonically? I own the BE MD-2's, and I've heard the 703's, but not the 707's. I can't compare the bass since I haven't heard the 707's, but based on my one-time listening impressions of the 703's, I'd expect that you'll find the MD-2's to be more articulate, less forgiving to bad recordings, and a little grittier in a "real" way. Did I hit it?

I would also expect the 707's to be smoother, silkier, and probably better at hiding for HT. I am most likely going to get a pair 703's and a 706 for my HT. We will have some similar stuff!

That's a very dark mahogany color, that looks like funiture that's 100+ years old. I doubt any further darkening will be observed. (If it's really mahaogany) The birch speakers more closely resemble freshly worked/finished mahogany's true color.

They definitely have a purple tone.

The W4S DAC-2 works great with these speakers, especially if you feed good quality music to it. Previously I paired this DAC with a couple of Polk LSi15's, and the difference between playing 128K mp3 and higher quality files such as 320K mp3 or FLAC was not as startling as with this Usher Dancer Mini 2 Diamond DMD set. It's great to experience this marvelous level of detail/clarity at such affordable price range, and I'm in awe at how graceful the stereo output flows in the listening room. For quite a few songs, I can easily feel the voice comes from right in the middle of the 2 speakers. And I definitely agree to one reviewer who wrote that these speaker throws a soundstage that unfolds behind their plane. It's definitely a positive experience; I'm glad I picked them up
