I am now waiting for a pair of MW-6503's to replace the bad set in one of the them. I noted the dynamat on the spiders
what does that do?
Thump the basket-- now thump it with the dynamat--JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut) -

I see Dynamat does for the spiders what it does in it's automotive application reducing resonant body noise.:idea:Radio Station W7ITC -

JB Weld that I applied.

Is that glue on magnet and basket from factory or applied afterwards?
I have read magnet slippage is a problem with the MW650X driver. Is is a good idea to anoint the magnet with JB weldbond to keep everything in place.Radio Station W7ITC -

That's what I've read. I'm not taking any chances.

There are several after market on line speaker stores that routinely epoxy the magnet and plates togather on the MW-650X speakers before they are shipped to prevent the magnet from slipping.Radio Station W7ITC
