My optical cable has no sound, it was tested with other cables and they do not work either. Help? Then as of
today the sound from the RCA cable stopped also. Any ideas?

    Hello WM17,
Welcome to Polk's forum. Can you tell us how you have connected the SurroundBar? Is it connected to the TV? If so, which model TV are you using?
    Regards, Ken

The soundbar was at first connect via optical cable, wen that stoped wrking I went to BestBuy and tested with there
optical cord and TV. This not sound, therefore we concolded that the soundbar optical conection inside bar was bad.

At that point I connected with RCA to 3.5 that worked find till yesterday, whem that stopped, I checked all wires inside and out, all seen OK. Today when I tryed the RCA again, they were working fine, RCA is connected to new SEIKI led

    Hello,
Having it work and then not work can be frustrating, I'm sure. A couple of things to remember, make sure the number of blue LEDs you see on the bar agrees with the input you are using. Input 2 connection should show 2 blue LEDs, for example. If you try the digital input again (input 1) make sure the TV's audio is set to PCM format, not Dolby digital. The Toslink digital cable should snap into place, there's a small tab that keeps the optical connector firmly into the "input 1" socket.
    Regards, Ken

All that with the are in correct format. The team at BestBuy could not get the optical to work using there TV and there optical cord. They tested the RCA conection was working fine. They said the connection in the 3000 was bad.
The RCA seems to go off after being on for some time. Could a part in the boards in the 3000 be shorting out after being on?

    Hi Ken,

I contacted Polk via 800 #, they want me to send in the speaker. Can I just send in the module from the speaker
    rather then the whole speaker?

    Hello,
In most cases that's not a problem, but check with the CS folks before you do that. They can give you some tips on taking the speaker apart.
    Cheers, Ken
