I have to replace a tweeter on my RTi 12 speaker. I have the new tweeter and have the unscrewed the old one but I can't figure out how to disconnect the wires off the old tweeter. It looks like they should slide right off but the don't and I am afraid to pull too hard on fear of breaking the wire. What am I missing?

There's a tiny clip on the push on terminal, look close. You have to either push it in or pull it out (can't remember which) as you pull the terminal off.Political Correctness'.........defined

Hello,
Those connectors are called "Fastons" and should slip off the tweeter's terminals. Usually what you have to do is wiggle the connector to get it loose then go ahead and tug on the connecting wire (you can pull pretty hard with no problem) to pull it off. If it still won't come off, try using a small screwdriver to pry the metal sleeves of the connector a little bit so it will pull away.

Thank you both. Your help allowed me to replace the tweeter in a couple minutes. I did end up using a tiny screwdriver to push back the pin ever so slightly and the wires popped right off. Thanks again.
