RT1000i subwoofer amp quit

The amp on my RT1000i seems to have quit. It lights up when I plug it in, and gives all appearances of working except for sound amplification! I pulled the plate out of the tower, but the fuse appears intact, and there are no visible signs of burning, or obvious capacitor failure. When it's "bridged", and the sub is powered by the receiver, I can heard the sub doing it's job-although fairly quietly. When I plug in a line-level input from my receiver and remove the bridge clips, I get no sound from the sub. Suggestions???

It happened to my 1000p's a few years ago. All I did was unscrew the plate amp and push all the wire connectors tightly together and it worked again. I think it could be oxidation on the connections resulting in poor contact. If you look at the wiring, you'll see that there are quite a few wires connected to eachother with some shrink wrap around the parts where they meet. I just kind of pushed them back in.
