Loud clicking when changing channels on SurroundBar 3000

We purchased a SurroundBar 3000 for my parents for Christmas. I hooked everything up according to instructions directly to their new LG HDTV.
The problem: when they change channels, typically on HD channels, they get a loud "click," and sometimes lose the sound for second. They already contacted customer service, sent the bar in for service, and received it back. The clicking seems a little better, but it is still there.
Anyone know of some obvious things I could try? (they are elderly, non-technical and in another city...so I have to make any changes next time I go there.)

Hello,
That's a very unusual situation, to say the least. Is there a way your parents could try connecting the SurroundBar, as a test, to either the digital audio out of their DVD player? Or, maybe a cable set top box or satellite dish receiver? This would help narrow down what is causing the problem.

Lg has issues with the sound output from there TV's. Can you hook the sound bar directly into a reciever or the cable box if thats there only sound source? I dont think its your sound bar.Living Room
