    out of tje computer "somehow" into the squeebox than out of the squeezebox "somehow" than into my dac "somehow" than out of the dac rca analog to my dared.yea ive got it now!!!!LMFAO!!!!!!

    Your wireless router (which is hooked to your computer via ethernet cable) to the SQB---> to dac via coax--->to preamp via very good analog rca's. Simple really, really simple.

    Btw would there be any advantage as far is the harddrive goes to go to a outboard drive just for the music. thinking of noise reduction to the computer I e separating it from the computer tower with its own power supply. just thinking
    With J. River, it will pre-load the music into your RAM, so it's not playing from the drive. As mentioned above, it's also an all in one program, rips, organizes, tags, and does playback. The demo version is free.

    And easily configured for bit perfect output,atleast I found with Vista and W7.

    The OP is running XP. When I ran XP it was more involved, but I didn't run J River.
