IHT 300 changes input randomly and LG TV connect

I just got my IHT 3000, and it is behaving strangely.

First, it changes input automatically? Is it supposed to do that? It doesn't do a very good job of it. It seems to randomly cycle through the inputs, and if I have something playing on input #3 and nothing else, it will change input away from #3 occasionally. I'm wondering if it's a problem with another nearby remote in my condo complex, if so, that's a big problem...

Second, I should have discovered this before ordering, but my TV's optical output doesn't seem to work with this unit... ya, that old story... Does anyone know for sure if an LG 55LW5600 can only output Dolby Digital? I can't seem to find an option to change it. LG's support site is lacking...

Thanks!

    Hello,
Thanks for posting on Polk's forum. The SurroundBar 3000 shouldn't change input selections on its own. Try placing the unit in the standby mode (amber LED), then touch and hold the "learn" button until the LED blinks twice and then goes steady amber. This will erase any programming instructions that might have been erroneously loaded. The Polk will continue responding to the remote that came with the bar, see if it keeps the input without changing.
I'm afraid the LG folks would be the best source of information on what the digital audio out would be.
    Regards, Ken
