May be a great record but I wouldn't download anything from 'thepiratebay' that's just asking to get sued by the RIAA.“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” ~ Mark Twain

LMAO Well buy it then. All I can say is next time I go to show of my speakers... "From The Plantation to the Penitentiary" is what will be played.
Also, this album... "Burial - Untrue" REALLY, REALLY ( emphasis on the REALLY)makes use of the sda effect to a sickening amount and sounds very good. It may not be for be for everyone though...
If you don't mind the "RIAA" :0 ... you can get it here:

Also if anyone has any albums that just MUST be heard on the sda's please post!Speakers:

As a matter of fact I happen to like Wynton Marsalis and have some of his LP's and will probably pick this one up too. His brother Bradfoad is no slouch ether. All I'm saying is that the RIAA seems to be always trying to shut down the pirate bay and going after the people who use it.“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” ~ Mark Twain

Only 320kbps? If it's that great, you should be looking for Lossless.Ludicrous gibs! -
I'm a big Wynton and Branford fan. Seen'em both. That said, the links in this thread should be removed and replaced with ones that link to a legal purchase, i.e.,

This is not a philosophical debate about the morality of illegally downloaded music; it's just to keep Polk Audio's forum out of trouble.
Cheers, and I'll definitely be checking out that album. It's one of only a few by Wynton that I don't have.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

I agree with you. But I also believe in downloading before purchasing when it comes to looking for music that is well recorded with good dynamics.
And yea the links are to mp3's, I find 320kbs does quite well. I have a tone of FLAC, and I agree that it's fantastic. But I hate having to hook my computer up to my system every time I want to listen to it.Speakers:

Like I said, I'm not trying to have a philosophical debate; I'm just tryin' to keep Polk's forum legit....I have a tone of FLAC, and I agree that it's fantastic. But I hate having to hook my computer up to my system every time I want to listen to it.
OK, so I know I'm opening a big can of worms here, but, how are playing back your MP3's, if it doesn't include hooking your PC up to your system, and how are you hooking your PC up to your system when you do play FLAC?2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

I have a sony cdp 750 from the 80's (?) and when i do hook my comp up I have a studio quality external sound card that connects via usb.
And just to check in, has anyone heard these albums yet?!?!?!
The problem that I have with FLAC is that I listen to newer music, and I find that the music is sonically compressed for loudness anyways... so whether it be FLAC or mp3... it really doesn't make as large of a difference as say... for something like... kind of blue. Also I might add that lots of older music that I have downloaded to "TEST" in FLAC is literally taken off an old record that is worn down to it's bones. And with a lot of newer music... it quite often turns out to not really be FLAC... it's a compressed file ( probably mp3) that has been converted. So given these reasons and the fact that FLAC is a much larger file; I generally stay away from it unless I find the urge and the need to Get it in FLAC.Speakers:
