Here is a picture of a house with a similar living room. Our windows on the fireplace wall with only be 2x2 instead of the longer ones, and that picture makes the room look deceptively narrow. The living room will also be carpeted, with the dining area behind it being wood.
I measured the walls and there is enough room in the corners for anything Klipschorn size or smaller, which is plenty of room to work with IMO.

Update: just put a holding deposit down on a pair of Speakerlab KHorns. I don't think they'll both fit in my pilot, so need a dry day in Seattle to pick them up in the truck...They were built in 1980 and have a nice hickory over plywood construction. As far as I can tell, they have the optimal driver usage with the metal mid horn. Once I get them home, Bob Crites will help me tweak them if needed, or a full component upgrade. Since they speakers (on a good day) can be identical to the Klipschorns, I'm excited to get them set up and optimized for some 105db sensitive, 35hz bass.
