Can i use a Parasound P3 as a phono only pre?

Until i get a new phono pre can i run my TT into the Parasound P3 i have then run the outputs to my Joule then to the amp.
I am trying to avoid having to keep switching my amp inputs.
Is this kosher or will it go BOOM!?!?
