New job, FINALLY!!!!!

Well folks, after 2.5 years of countless interviews and endless phone calls I finally landed another Engineering job. The amazing thing is I'm starting out at the same pay I was making when I was laid-off over 2 years ago. With only a single position to fill they had over 300 resumes come in, did 90 interviews and I landed the position. Darn near passed out when I received the good news, fell to me knees and thanked the man above cause I wasn't sure how much longer I was gonna make it on the fine Walmart pay scale. I'll begin work on March 26th with a well needed vacation that starts Saturday. Travel will be involved with this job though, probably a 1 hour drive but the company more than compensated for it. Just thought I'd share the good new with my Polk family so wish me luck.

Great News! Enjoy it, you've certainly put in your time. 2.5 years! It's been and still is a tough time for many!

Thats awsome! I had to drive an hour one way for about a year. Sucked at first, but got used to it pretty quick. Only one ticket too! Anyway, congrats on having more money to spend on gear

I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Glad things worked out. Jobs that pay decent are hard to come by now so I am glad you set yourself apart enough to beat out that many applicants!
