Recommendations for DIY interconnect cable.

I am looking to either make an upgraded SDA interconnect cable or maybe a set of cables for an A-1 dreadnaught. I currently have a stock SDA cable that I am using with MIT S3.3 speaker interfaces. I understand that I would also have to install new BP's as part of the upgrade. Is there any suggestions for a quality wire for a DIY interconnect cable or A-1 cables. If I decide to go the A-1 route is the Canare 411 a suitable choice for the dreadnaught with it's(4) individual wires?

Thanks

Yes to all above. I just did Cardas BP, new gaskets, Norez and new sda ic.

I tried AQ type 4, Kimber cable 4 and 8tc. All where a huge improvement over stock.

    Stayed with kk 4tc.

I will add another when I make my AI.

BP and cable are one of this tweaks you wished you had done sooner. If you upgrade BP I recommend Norez or something similar to do at the same time.

You can use any RCA cable and strip the outer edge of the pin. Works good without changing your SDA's.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 4tc is a (2) conductor wire. Did you terminate both conductors @ 1 bannana jack to go into your BP? I noticed that with the A-1 that one conductor will go to the BP and the other to the LF ground.

4TC has many conductors that are normally seperated out to make a + and - speaker cable. I used the entire cable for 1 banana plug that goes to the BP that replaced the pin/blade factory connector.

When I make my AI, I will cut that cable in half and terminate the other ends with bananas that will go to the AI and BP that was the Pin/Blade. I will then buy another 10' KK 4TC that I will cut in half and terminate the end that goes to AI with Bannana and the other end with spade that goes to neagtive post on speaker.

    Canare 4S11 (Star Quad)

Another good choice for SDA IC, have not tried it but many people do and have this cable.
