Yamaha HTR-5990 140x7 HDMI Receiver

140W x 7, 980W total
HDMI High Def upconversion
Automatic Room Calibration

Great receiver in perfect cosmetic and working condition, all inputs/outputs work and I can't find any scratches on it. Comes with power cord, factory remote, and calibration microphone. Currently hooked up in my home theater system to Polk RTiA speakers, it sounds great, works great. Only reason I'm selling is to upgrade.

Unit is an easy 8/10, but because I don't have the original packaging I'll stay conservative and call it a 7/10.

Full specs and features:
http://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio-visual/av-receivers-amps/htr/htr-5990_black__u/?mode=model

I'd like to get $350 plus shipping, but am open to offers!

Sorry for the low quality pics, it's a PITA to take out of the cabinet to get better ones, and I'm still waiting for it's replacement to arrive, at which time I'll get much better ones!

    Looks like a nice piece.

It might help if you can specify how many HDMI outs the AVR has and what version they are 1.1, 1.2?

Because if they are 1.1 or higher and can also pass LPCM audio 7.1 then that is a plus because you can run blu-ray through that and get the equivalent to New HD sound from it.

As far as the rest, I'm sure this also has 7.1 ins (another way to do blu-ray sound for some players) and 7.1 ins.

    GLWTS.

Well according to the specs from the link I posted:
    http://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio-visual/av-receivers-amps/htr/htr-5990_black__u/?mode=model

It doesn't list which version of HDMI it has, however it does have two HDMI Inputs and one out.

This is a great amp, and only reason I'm upgrading is to try a Marantz to see how it compares for music use. Otherwise it does everything flawlessly.

    And now $275 plus shipping!

based on a little research this model came out in 06 so it could be either hdmi 1.1 or 1.2 since 1.3 did not show up tell late that year on the super high end brands.

If i were a betting man id say 1.1 since i had a comparable Marantz SR6001
