I'd love to have one of these in a movie theater on a Friday or Saturday night and watch how many people freak out during the movie when they can't eff around with their phone during the movie. The guy is pretty stupid though. Just keep it tucked inside your jacket out of sight.

My brother (a teacher) used one of these in his high school classroom. Kids were messing with him using misquitoe ring tones. Another teacher (young man) informed him of what was going on. Enraged, he bought one of eBay or somewhere. It shut done cell phone usage for a fair distance. He would jokingly pull his cell phone out of his pocket in from of his classroom and smirk "funny, no cell service in here" then continue teaching.

I understand there are churches that use these. And yes, these devices are illegal.

Makes sense as more and more people use mobile phones. Out here in Japan it is a rule you turn off your cell ringer while on the bus or train. You can text, but there is absolutely no talking on a cellphone while riding.

I wish they would install these in stores that have lines. I once saw a teen at subway tell the sandwich artist to 'hold on, I need to send this text'. I spoke up and said I'd like to order my meal, your text can wait. Rude people. Ugh.

Would love to jam the signals at certain public relaxing venues, but the double headed sword comes to play on safety, privacy, emergencies, and peoples rights...damned if u do and damned if you don't

Although I hate people who do not respect other people's privacy, unfortunately, it depends on the area where the jammer is being used. I remember an article a couple of years ago in a local newspaper, where a teacher used cell phone jammer in the school and got warned by local PD that it's illegal.
    (found the article: http://www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/SciTech/20090401/cellphone_jammer_090401/)

I also wonder if that guy can still reproduce after using his jammer. It's like turning on a small microwave and slowly frying your balls. (yes, 4G phones are using the same frequency as your microwaves - 2.4GHz).

These (SPAM LINK REMOVED and Reported) are available at a very reasonable price. You can buy this cell phone jammer very easily. As this service takes nominal charges on the network, so you would need to spend a little amount to get complete peace of mind when you are not willing to get disturbed.

Wow nice to see spamers are at least using the search function to post in the approperate thead. Wonder if a male enhancement pill spamer will pickup on this post after it gets burried.

i don't see anything wrong with a movie theater or church or concert hall being able to jam cell phones as long as they have signs posted letting people know, you know there was a time when we didn't have cell phones and got along quite well without them.

My understanding is that you can't even jam cell phones in prison. Why should prisoners have the right to have cell phones?
