Can I have dibs on the JoLida? I was about to buy that exact player, with those exact same tubes, new. This could save me a bit of money on the factory direct pricing. I would have preferred silver, or I would have bought it from you already.

Thanks for suggesting it, but I saw that one already (and was within an inch of getting it). It has different tubes though, and older than yours. I like what I read about the PSVANE tubes, and since yours is only a year old, I consider that an advantage.

Sorry, H9, PP sent. I'm running AQ type 4's on my CRS's. The CRS's have the original IC and am picking up CRS+'s this week that I'm going to redo the XO's and binding posts. This will give give me a matching AQ IC set when I bring the CRS+'s on-line.

Got the response, thanks! Alrighty then ... she's mine! This way I'll get to decide if I like the silver faceplate on my JD1301 better, or the black faceplate on this JD100, before deciding to buy any other JoLida components (might want a remote at some point, and the JD1301 doesn't have one.).

That was fast John, Glad it arrived safe and sound. BTW, I attened training at Sheppard May-August of 1980.

Probably one of the hottest summers on record. I came down from Fort Richardson (Anchorage AK) for that training and the temps were brutal.

USPS is always fast from DFW to the Falls, so I was fairly sure it'd be in the mailbox by lunch time.:cheesygrin:

Anchorage to Sheppard...bet that was brutal! This past summer was pretty rough w/the 100+ temps and then such a weird winter. Hopefully, the temps drop and we get more rain, but without the tornado action the rest of the country is seeing.

Received the first shipment (JoLida tubes in the PSVANE box, and PS Audio Prelude power cord) today. Thank you USPS, that was super fast! The box was in great shape, and packaged for success (extra tape around all the exposed edges, plenty of bubbles inside).

So ... thank you Mr. Smith! I'll let you know when the player arrives (expected later this week).

Good to hear Kex. Those Jolida tubes were never used with that player unless tested at the factory. I put the Psvanes in the Jolida immediately upon receiving it.

Arrived today in good shape. I haven't had an opportunity to hook anything up, or take it out of the box, but it seems fine. There's no sign of anything broken inside when I had a quick peek. I'll be in touch later.
