To all the audio guys out there could you please help a newbie decide.
I can not audition the first 2 side by side therefore I need help.I am presently running RTi12'S-CSi5-FXi5's and for rears RTi6's.They are being powered by ANTHEM MCA 30 and a PVA 4.
I need to upgrade my HK and I was looking at the Anthem MRX500, Marantz AV7005,Or wait for this summer for the emotiva XMC-1.
What would better suit my speakerS????
Thanks in advance for any input anybody can give me.

Pioneer ELite SC-57 . The Anthem MRX500 is nice , it's very limited with features but it does sound very good. I don't think it's better then the SC-57. Emotiva I have no experience and I have read mixed feelings about their gear. Marantz I have heard a few times and I find them to be a step up from Denon in sound quality but not on par with the Anthem or Pioneer.
If I had to buy just out of your 3 , I would go Anthem. But honestly I wouldn't buy it.Dan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
No one out here has either the Mrx500 or the AV 7005????

I have to say the Marantz av7005 is the winner having heard both but the Anthem mrx300 with an amp is going to sound sweet with ARC. The av7005 is a pre and it will sound clean like no avr could ever manage

I went to look at the AV7005 today as a nearby store had it.
Wow was I impressed just by the look of it.It was hooked up to a McIntosh and it sounded great.
This thing looks massive a lot taller than any Pre I have looked at.I also auditioned the Rotel RSP 1572.
Atthe moment I think I am leaning more towards the Marantz, taking into consideration what the salesman told me.
The anthem will be great because of the arc,but I will be paying for the amps which I will not need, and a separate pre will always be a pre.i will keep you posted I found a lot of reviews about it overall all good..but no newer reviews.
Iam also taking into consideration that this Marantz has already been out for about 3 years so all the bugs has been worked out.
