I saw it this Saturday on VHS at my Dad's. Great movie, great soundtrack even on VHS. I would buy it just because it is the Matrix. Make sure you go into watching one with the thought "It's a Bridge". Although it is a great movie.

    Own a "HomeTheater"???????
    Pretty much a no brainer.
Being as Matrix has been in the top five reference dvd's since day one. Reviews give that Reloaded is following suit.
Oh, and the movie is alright too.
    lol
Or on second thought maybe i will just get the vhs 3 pack when they all come out as a set which is about the time my new 13 inch supervision megaflat tv with ultra mono magma sound is paid off in lay-a-way.:D

Pick up one this morning at BB for $14.99, 138 min, no DTS only DD 5.1 track. BB throws in a free Coming attractions DVD vol.1 with a bunch of 10% off coupons for other DVD and CD purchase...:)

No brainer but be-sure to pick up the WS version, not the FS version, they are pretty much look alike...:D

oh man...we have to wait another 3 and 1/2 week...would that be cool if they decide to move forward the release date of Matrix Revolution DVD to Dec 16th?, I think it will be the "hot cake" selling item of the year :)

I'm sure they will offer the special edtion of this triology in one package with all of the goodies that they save the best for last, and of course with the DTS 6.1 track included. Damm...I will have to "ebay" my individual pieces just to cover the tax cost for this one :D:D:D cheers

I'm sure the DD version is of the highest quality! Like I've always said, a high quality DD mix is comparable to high quality DTS mix. Look at the SW discs. Those sound great and rival any DTS mix. I found the Matrix DD mix to be of very high quality. Don't expect any DTS versions, at least any time soon!

Just finished watching the movie. I can honestly say that I really did not like it when I saw the movie in the theater. However, watching it at home was a whole different story! I knew the SQ and PQ were good in the theater but I really disliked the story line. Seeing it again really brought out some of the nuances that I didn't catch at the theater. It is so nice to be able to experience a movie at home that rivals most if not all the theaters that I have been to. No interuptions, no annoying other people just the ability to totally immerse yourself in the film. It is priceless after a long day at work! I didn't buy it. I think I am going to wait until they package all three then buy. Hope everyone is enjoying their system as much as me! Now I really need that SVS!

Wanted to see it in the theater, even had a week without my wife and kids at home.. never did get there. Agreed, no-brainer buy. Got it tonight at Walmart for $14.64.. or $14.61 or some other such odd price. I figure it would have cost me at least $8 to see it in the theater and get a pop, and I would've bought it anyway.. so I'm thinking I got it for around $7.

Not in the mood for a movie tonight, though. Have it playing right now and I'm on here writing about it to you guys. Did notice the leather-clad crotch-shot of Trinity in the first scene when she does a flip and puts her crotch front and center....

Bought today with Scarface and just watched both Disc 1 and Disc 2.
Wow! Matrix Reloaded video transfer is pristine and superbly done so as the Dolby Digital 5.1 clean and deep. Flawless video and audio!

I was expecting for a flagged DD EX 5.1 and sure DTS 6.1 would have been a plus too but the DD 5.1 track is quite aggressive and heart-pounding. The surrounds were active all the time. The .1 LFE is very heavy and quite deep.

My Velodyne CHT-15 made my window rattled many times and made me say wow all the time. The bass is very clean and loud and is really deep. The deepest scene I found when the circles start to appear on the glass building when Key Maker was talking. Another loud scene when Neo explodes all Agent Smith's

Another take was in the Freeway Chase when cars filp over in slow motion. In the end when ship hovers my V-CHT-15 delivered loud rumbles.

Would've been nice to have a trailer and teaser. Some deleted scenes and production notes along with cast and crew woud've been worth as well. The Special feature Disc 2 was more about the making but missing lot of other important content. The Disc 1 matters the most the high bit-rate video and sound transfer is best to date.

I watched it twice in theater so the first one and will watch the Matrix Revolutions in November.

    SUPERB DVD Love it!:D

I concur with Ham - pristine PQ - GREAT looking transfer.

Soundtrack was fabulous too, but IMO the LFE channel was overcooked and had a lot of non-descript (but very clean) synthesized effects in the 40 Hz region that were lacking in character. Almost a concession here to please most run-of-the-mill sub owners.

Other bass notes were much better, with more depth and complexity.

Overall, a big thumbs up in the audio and video department, though. And the movie wasn't half bad either.

I must say, it's been a couple weeks since I've been in the "MANCAVE" to watch a movie due to the fact that I've been on mandatory overtime for the last month, but anyways, what better movie to watch then the Matrix Reloaded.

For whatever reason the wife does not like the Matrix movies (think it has something to do with her not understanding them) so needless to say I got to watch it by myself last night. Of course, starting watching it about the time the kids went to bed. Within the first 15 minutes of the movie, the neighbors were calling, the wife was bitching and the kids though it was storming. So needless to say I really didn't get the full effect of the movie. BUT, the wife and kids will be at church this afternoon so the neighbors better be prepared. :D

I spun the disk last night and enjoyed the film, but, it was a bit too long and drawn out. Cutting out about 20-30 minutes would have made the film much more enjoyable and the story would not have suffered. I was left a little bored with the freeway chase scene, it was too long.

The PQ was excellent, audio was decent, but I've heard better. It seemed very localized and tight with over-cooked bass in many scenes. But, that's the way the first disk was so I wasn't too surprised.

This was a let down from the first as was The Two Towers. I really have no desire to rewatch these as much as I like to go back and rewatch the originals. Hopefully the 3rd installments of both will rekindle the fire that these rained on. About the only two sequals I can think of that matched the originals were Aliens and The Empire Strikes Back. Two great sequals.

    Peace Out~:D

Ok watched part of Reloaded.....was it me or were the voices/dialogue in this movie a bit on the soft side?

I just found myself turning up the volume because it just seemed to quiet.

Action scenes were good and loud, but again the dialogue......

You mean the "talk to the hand" scene. That was kinda dramatic. But hey it opens a world of possiblities for his "powers".;)
Seen this "badass ****" in theaters and it rocked the house. Can't wait to scoop up the DVD and setup my DDSS system to blow the windows outta my house. This is gonna be sweet.:D

I had to run the movie volume at least at -8 to -10 to hear the dialogue sufficently. I hate recordings like this. Compare that to the DTS ES version of Gladiator which sounds good at -15.
