Ripping the vinyl would be an excellent means of making the The Holy Gift, but ripping vinyl is an art that requires much expertise and quality gear that's up to the task. I sent you a PM regarding the same.

I've responded to everyone who has posted here or PMed me. So far, five people including myself have committed to making The Holy Gift happen in a very exciting way. For those who I have PMed but haven't committed, let me know where you stand. If anyone else is interested in hearing what I have planned, send me a PM.

By the way, the question was brought to my attention as to whether this is a money making endeavor for me. It is not. In fact, I have protected myself to make sure I lose money on this group buy. Truth be told, the actual cost is around $260 to burn this vinyl, not including the cost of shipping to everyone. This is definitely a Karma building contract and an opportunity to meet other Tool fans.

Time, effort, materials, and paying for the rip, are they kidding?

The breakdown is $89 an LP and $89 for the large gapless track. That is a grand total of $267.

let me just state I don't care if you make a little money, after all it is YOUR time and effort to bring this to us. The last person to get screwed on this shouldn't be you...

I'm just trying to be honest here. Fongolio and perhaps Punk-roc have decided to join us. That means extra money, but still below the total cost. We are at 13 guys including myself. Well below the total expense I will incur.
