Will the IHT 6000 work with an Rf Base Station, and intermittent shutoff?

I have two issues:
1) It drives me crazy that i have to be straight on and less than 10 feet away to control the base station. In fact, to raise volume I have to stand up, to lower volume I don't!???
I want to hook up to a Universal MRF-260 RF base station. Will this work?
2) The base station intermittently shuts off when i am using the FF, RW, or Play command for DVR controls on my Universal MX-450 remote. I have to turn everything, off and on to get it working again.

Hello lbf,
Thanks for posting on Polk's forum. Just so I'm correct, when you say "base station" do you mean the wireless subwoofer that came with the SurroundBar 6000?

I think he is talking about a URC MRF-260 RF base station.
That is a RF base station made by Universal Remote Corp.polkaudio RT35 Bookshelves
