Long time Polk fan, short timer on the forum. In need to complete my 7.1 home theater with a f/x300i's in black. Yes old school, but I need to match the rest of my outfit. I only need one but if I need to purchase a pair, I must do what I have to do. Thanks for reading my post,

Mike (Frederick M.D. neighbors to Polk)

what is the front of your outfit? I got a pair of FX500 on craigslist for 100, great condition, powerful and look nice on the walls. But this bi/dipolar sound doesn't seem to do any magic for me. Seems like I prefer monopole speakers for surrounds, as I actually enjoy being able to locate the sound coming from the speaker. Perhaps try to have a listen first..

I have found that tube based computers provide the best sound quality. ENIAC and MANIAC I offer a smooth, well defined and articulated sound unmatched by the current silicon based CPUs.
But as in all things your perception is your reality.

RT 2000i is what I have in the front. Floor standing speakers.
