OK, so I am selling my RM7 satelite set (pm me if u from Chicagoland and intersted)

I want to get a set of two fronts and a center for my living room to go with my F/X 500s that I just picked up from craigslist. I don't know if you've seen the f/x series, but the 500s are HUGE. I did not expect them to be half of their actual size. When the guy handed them to me my jaw dropped.

Now i can't even think about matching them with RM7 (no, my RTi A7, A6 are not leaving my bedroom). I already spent like 2 grand on speakers and the guilt is killing me. Especially if you take interest in the economy like me and think this country is going to **** in the immediate future and trying to prepare. But the Equipment Junkie virus is eating me again and I want to try some new speakers for my living room. I have polks all around in my car and bedroom now, and I am one of the most happy and loyal fans out there, but I don't want another POLK.

So I am looking at BIC America. I can get these two bookshelfs plus the center for 250 total (acoustic design + TV15 + bargain), brand spanking new and shipped. I couldn't find one professional review of those, only amazon 'pro's : ). I will be honest with you, I just really like the look of the woofers, and the speakers overall look very clean. So please let me know if you have any first hand experience with those or have some reliable info about the sound quality.

As far as the EJ junky.. I am passionate about other things too, and I tend to get fired up and spend a lot of money on my new passions. In the other forums this is called EJ junkie. Any of you folks here suffer from that? : ) But i prolly wont be single for much longer so I have to do it while I can : ). Also, frankly, looking at these ridiculous prices on Audiogon it seems like speakers, at least the high quality ones, tend to retain their value for a long time - something that can't be said about paper dollars!!

    Those Bic America FH-65B speakers are $108.99 EACH: x 2 = $215.98.
    The BIC America FH6-LCR center is $119.32 EACH: x 1 = $119.32. TOTAL = $335.30

Looked for the discounts you referenced in quoting a total price of $250 but didn't see them. I might have missed them, but figured my math looks different than yours.
I don't have any experience with BIC speakers so you're doing the 2nd best thing regarding speaker purchases: asking for opinions.
But the absolute best thing is to actually get your ears on a pair so you will know if they suit your likes.

Looking around the internet, lots of reviews.

Also, you can get the BIC America Formula FH-65B's at SEARS for $109.99

Also, you can get the BIC FH6-LCR center at SEARS for $140.26.

HIGHLY recommend that you head down to your nearest SEARS store and give them a listen before buying. Gut reaction here, but if you don't care for the sounds of Klipsch speakers, you won't care for these.

Others here are sure to give "hands-on" experience, but my previous suggestion stands: have patience.

I can get the set of 3 for $250.00!

Also i meant some reputable reviews. They have plenty of reviews on amazon too, but these people have never owned a real speaker in their life and get excited from anything they buy..

Never heard Klipsch, but if the RTi A7 is bright, then I like bright.

Just re-read OP's original post, and saw that he wasn't getting rid of his F/X500's, he was looking for fronts/center to go WITH them.

    .... Hey, it's 4 a.m. in the morning, okay ?

So, let me say this: these BICs are going to be like trying to match turnips with oranges. Just my opinion, though. Suggestion to listen to them at SEARS is a must; you'll have your answer, I believe (hope ?)

I have been in sears many times. I am not aware of them having a listening room.

But your comment about matching turnips with oranges is concerning and this is exactly why i wanted to get some opinions.

If anyone else has an opinion on this would be highly appreciated
