I have a KRELL KSA80 POWER AMP. and a KRELL KSP 7B PRE-AMP. Can anyone suggest a good pair of BOOKSHELF SPEAKERS?

    One thing's for sure.
Once you've chosen the right speakers, choosing the left ones becomes very easy.

I have found that tube based computers provide the best sound quality. ENIAC and MANIAC I offer a smooth, well defined and articulated sound unmatched by the current silicon based CPUs.

    Nice one cristo... ;)

Considering your electronics price, I could try to make a very small list comprised of my "best pick" when I listened to a lot of "too pricey for me" speakers. Depending on your budget, you might try to find :

    Totem Rainmaker - around 1000$
PSB Synchrony Two B - Around 1500$. Those were exceptional if you want my opinion, great imaging, somewhat neutral sound and no boominess. Not a lot of bass, but it was punchy, tight and accurate.
Mordaunt Short Mezzo 2 - around 900$, not a lot of bass, but that's a bookshelf. Good speaker with a lot of detail.
B&W PM1 - Around 2500$ maybe (3000$ here in Canada) : Those were incredible IMO, but it may be overpriced. I was sitting, and didn't want to go away after I began listening to them. Sure, I was used to listen to a pair of 200$ bookshelf, so anything was better than what I had. However, it's look might not suit your tastes.

Didn't listen to them, but as we're in a Polk forum:
Polk LSiM703 - around 1500$ for a pair. Great unofficial reviews so far.

If your budget is under 500$, which I doubt, go grab a pair of Polk LSi9 before they're gone

I suggest that you could try to read reviews from Whathifi and stereophile. It could help you get a glimpse of information, and cut out of your list speakers that don't match your tastes and budget. Everything is subjective, but you could get a list of best picks from people who may be more picky than I am.
Speakers: Polk Audio LSiM 705, LSiM 703, LSiM 704c
    Receiver: Denon X3500H

On second thought, I think it sounds better the other way around,

First, get a really good left one, then choosing the right speaker will be very easy.
