Listened to a JC2 with a Bryston amp on Revel speakers. Wow, let me take back everything I said about Parasound HALO being too bright. With the right amp, that JC2 sounded really good. Not nearly as harsh or grainy on the top end as a Parasound HALO C2 with the A21 amp. The last time I heard the C2 it was paired with the Parasound A21 amp and it was bright even on PSB speakers.

So I am looking at a HALO C1 again, this time with an Outlaw Model 7500 amp.

I have not heard the Outlaw 7500. For those who have (Sheardp, Grimster, etc.) how does it sound??

I've had an ear on some outlaw amps, not that particular one though. The Bryston will run rings around it simply put. Outlaw was good around here for HT, but musically left some room for improvement.

Thanks. The Bryston I heard was a pro amp. Not sure if that matters...

Also, is there no issue running an amp like the Outlaw in 2 channels all the time?

I understand the Outlaw is a 5ch amp. But I only have two speakers. So I will probably use the other channels for Zone 2, leaving the Center unused.

It's a slight step up (or rather sideways) from Emotiva as in it's not quite as harsh and in your face, but frankly it's nothing special.
