I managed to grab about 35 CDs before it ended. It appears to be over now, everything is showing up at regular price, I'm glad I happened to be online when I was.
Thanks a TON for posting the links! -
I grabbed a bunch before the prices went back up as well.....Thanks Danny!

I don't believe Amazon has a history of cancelling orders, but we shall see...
-
I barely made it out....17 titles for $29.00, including the Legacy Edition of Elvis' debut album for $2.60.

No problem at all. Glad to spread the news. Hope everyone had fun (while it lasted).

Was it still around an additional $3 for shipping per CD?I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Looks like a new batch is up. Just click on "New Amazon" deals. Still curious how you got the free shipping?? I'm getting the 70cent deals, but still show shipping...I never had it like this where I grew up. I"m a Prime member so that may help, but I thought they had free shipping on orders over $25 for everyone
-
Also, when I click on any of those titles that actually take me to the Amazon page they're all regular price, for me at least.
-
Just tried new deals, Try's to go to dealchaser website, getting circle of death.
-
good find, no luck here
-
Wish I checked CP earlier today...

It appears the title remains listed on Deal Chasers for a short time after selling out on Amazon. It's been hit and miss by clicking on titles for 70 cents.I never had it like this where I grew up. I'm looking at the CDs I ordered and it looks like Amazon is splitting up the order due to availability. For example, the following titles are "Shipping Soon"....
The Essential Louis Armstrong
The Essential Rick Springfield
The Essential Paul Simon
George Michael - Older
Jimi Hendrix - Smash Hits
Mandy Moore - Best of (CD+DVD)
Elvis - Elvis Presley (2 CD Legacy Edition)
David Gilmour - About Face
Various Artist - '80s Pop Hits (3 CD)
Meanwhile, the below CDs are being shipping towards latter half of the month....
The Essential Cyndi Lauper
The Essential Fred Astaire
Kelly Clarkson - All I Ever Wanted
Playlist - The Very best of Steve Perry -
Best deal i've seen. I got a feeling somsbody made a mistake. Good for everyone that got in on the deal.
-
I've got 6 shipments coming
-
I appreciate the heads-up on the deals.
Unfortunately when I tried it this morning I ended up with $23 in purchases and $99 in shipping fees.
Oops, cancel that order.
Many good discs, just can't rationalize that price while I'm out of work. -
I know I'm a prime member, but does amazon not have free shipping on orders over 25 bucks for "regular" people?
-
Only on certain items, usually only those that they are selling/shipping from their own site - not those of "Merchants"

Yes, you're correct. I had to get one at regular price (Loverboy - Classics) to push the total over $25.00 to get free shipping. At that point in time, the prices were returning to regular prices so I had to act quick. -
What happened? I swear I ordered those Sade and Kelly Clarkson CDs....
-
Anybody else hearing from Amazon?
It looks like about a third of what I ordered has been cancelled due to 'incorrect pricing'. About 10 of mine have already shipped so I should be good on those, but I still have another 20 or so that are in 'shipping soon' status that have not yet been cancelled. I don't know what kind of logic they're using to determine which CDs get cancelled, hopefully some more of mine will ship though. -
More cancellations from my order. The below titles are gone....
The Essential Cyndi Lauper
The Essential Fred Astaire
Playlist - The Very best of Steve Perry -
I wanted the Pete Seeger and the Neck and Neck CD's but I missed the deal.Stan

Amazon has a NASTY habit of cancelling orders. Last summer I found an early morning deal on some nice RTI-A1's and ordered 3 pair. They accepted the order, took the money out of my account and sent it on down the line for shipping. Later that day they cancelled my order and kept my money for about 5 days and said Oops, someone made a mistake. I sent in a complaint to the FTC but no resolution.Main Family Room: Sony 46 LCD, Sony Blue Ray, Sony DVD/VCR combo,Onkyo TXNR 708, Parasound 5250,

A few more of mine got cancelled, and I have 6 left that are in 'not yet shipped' status that expect to have cancelled as well. So after it's all said and done I'll end up with about a third of what I ordered.

Looks like Amazon has a new tricky way of cancelling your order:
I've got 4 CDs left that are not yet shipped, and they've sent me a couple emails saying they'd be delayed, no problem I said. I've seen about 4 of these emails come across and then another come across this morning and almost deleted it but decided to read it first. On this one they said it was delayed, but then also mentioned that I had to go online to my account and approve the delay and that if I didn't do this the order would be cancelled. That's a pretty clever and sneaky way of them being able to cancel orders without actually sending the cancellation email.
By the way in case you're wondering, all 4 of those albums that have been delayed shipment are currently in stock and ready to ship. In fact I ordered one of them at 'regular' price on Monday and UPS just dropped it off at my door, so clearly they have them in stock they just don't want to fulfill the order.
I wasn't upset about the order cancellation emails I'd received previously, if it was a pricing mistake then that's fine and I won't hold them to it. However, the new sneaky tactic of cancelling orders on the sly does put me off.
