Crossovers and multi-zones

So what do I do with my set up? I'm trying out some new HT smaller speakers that require my preamp to set the crossover at 120hz, and it sounds excellent. The problem is, my living room (zone 2 on my preamp) is an old Bose set up requiring a full range of signal. Do better preamps address this? Am I screwed with my current preamp?

It depends on the preamp. For example, my Denon allows Zone 2 to be run full range but the main speakers to have a crossover of 80Hz. I would suggest looking in the manual for your preamp to see if Zone 2 is just an A/B switch or is it actually full range.polkaudio RT35 Bookshelves

Got it. Years ago I renamed the analog inputs, so I had the RCA's in the wrong one. Zone 2 appears to be full range. TyHarman Kardon Sig. 2.1 (100x5)
