Yep, pretty excited, never thought I'd find a pair at this price--and in this good of condition.

L/R, I don't know why they mirror them, but serial numbers match: C7 699R/C7 699L.

Holy crap thats some really high end bookshelfs you got there steveinaz. You do love your bookshelfs as everyone knows but what you got there is another level as in like nearly 4k. Thats more than a good set of towers cost

I hope you enjoy them and I'm sure they will sound great with that Benchmark dac you got there too

Thank you; if they live up to 1/2 the hype, I should be in good shape. I think the Benchmark will synergize real well.

When you read the reviews for the benchmark and your speakers its like they are a description of the same product being really neutral and uncolord

I'd like to know too. I recall that a picture you posted with your old speakers on Target stands was inspiration for me to pick up a pair of Target stands for my LSi9s. I love those stands, so I'm interested to know what you are putting the Harbeth's on.

I currently have the Target MR28 28" stands--which might be a bit too tall. Our couches sit pretty high though...I'll have to wait and see. One thing I will do to reduce the height, is to remove the stands from the tile piece, and let them 'sink" into the carpet. This will buy me an inch or two reduction. The Harbeth's are another 4.5" taller than the Fritz, so it's gonna be close.

My stands have nothing in them...they're quite heavy as is, and I have a concrete sub-floor.

Possibly, but I'd have to be pretty damn unsatisfied with the bass to go sub again; and I don't see that happening.

Sweet stands. Might be worth trying to fill them with something not so much for weigh but damping.

My mistake, I was under the impression he was gonna send them immediately. He should get my cashiers check today, so I would imagine he'll send them out today or tommorrow. I paid for Fedex 3-day delivery---soooo...I'm thinking Tuesday/Wednesday of next week.

STANDS: My stands will be too tall, so I sold them to the guy who bought my Carbon 7's. I'm going to buy the Skylan 24" stands--once they get them back in stock. The 20" are recommended for the 7ES-3, but my couches are quite tall, and I prefer my speakers a little higher--so the 24" it is. In the meantime, I'm gonna run some huge Eye-bolts in the top of the cabinets, and hang them by a rusty chain from the ceiling.

I'm somewhat offended Steve, at your choice of non-audiophile approved milk crates.

You do know the plastic ones are better than the metal, and you may have to add vibration pads on the bottom and some dampening material around the sides.

Can't wait for the review, congrats again.

Be sure to stuff the openings with pillows, for damping.

Steve I have what I think is a really stupid quesiton about your system.... I dont see anything in your sig with a remote control.....

Do you manually turn up the volume on your 2 channel rig (which I think is in your main living room connected to your TV)?

**edit** nm, didnt see the linestage thing....

The Placette has a remote. Everything connects thru the Benchmark, then the BM out to the Placettes' single input.
