My wife wants to make a lamp using a cool tequila bottle and I want to wire a single LED from the socket into the base, to light up the interior. How is this done? I imagine I need a single wired LED with a small transformer to splice it into the circuit correct? Where do I buy this stuff?

It's a Milagro bottle, if anyone has had that brand. It's blown glass with a Agave plant structure as part of the interior of the bottle. We made one for my Mom, just to see how it would look and it's really kinda cool, for being an ode to alcohol. We used a flourescent bulb and made it as earth conscious as possible.

CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

If you're looking for the 'end-all, be-all' of electronics shopping, the only place I know of is YDI:

Click on the LED's, and you'll have your pick of colors, and voltages. There's a phone number on this page, so, if you can't find it, or have questions, they should be able to answer it.

HOW you do it, is another question.
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

Could giving the forward voltage and current add a resistor with a diode in series to drop the line voltage.

    This circuit looks pretty simple:

You could also market this concept to college students with a couple of mods.

Thought about fiber optics? You could put light in several areas.

This is an easy one! you can adjust the brightness of led by changing value of resistor. the capacitor must be X1 or X2.
    Make it simple...Make it better!
