He's a stud with a bright future in the game. That being said, Brady put school in session tonight.

    Cheers,

I'm curious to see how the Brocos handle this. Does Tebow start next year? He had great accomplishments but seriously, what do you do? He's not superbowl ready not even close. But the team may be superbowl ready. And what about selling tickets and jerseys? It will be fun to watch next year just as it was this year.

Brady probably has the potential for another Super Bowl win or so, even with his limited mobility. If you could transplant a young man's legs onto him it would be the next 5 in a row.

Tim Tebow has an entire nation standing with him and cheering for a good guy of sound moral clarity to finally stand up and not be afraid to show his beliefs.

Why is he so different from the rapper that excepts some award and thanking J.C.? Perhaps because after he thanks his Savior, Tim Tebow doesn't get arrested for being involved in a drive-by. I am tired of the miscreants and delinquents of our society being worshiped for the demons they embrace, yet there is no respect for someone that chooses to walk with God instead.

I haven't had much reason to have faith in the future of where this country is headed because of what I see in our younger generation, but Tim Tebow gives me hope that there are a few good and moral people left. If he can stay clean and continue to inspire others to get their **** together, there may be hope after all. I pray that he never shows even a hint of spiritual weakness, because the first tiny mistake he makes they will want to crucify him for it.

Religion may be nonsense for you, but I have seen otherwise. That my mother still lives, given all she has gone through, is a miracle. That a rookie QB named Tim Tebow could inspire a Nation to rethink their relationship with God, and to believe that something good is about to happen is also a miracle, and I thank him for it.

Trying hard to ignore any religious commentary here.... :)

I'll just say that while I'm sure Tim Tebow is a nice guy, he's really a pretty horrible quarterback.

People tend to be so far on either side of the Tim Tebow thing. Here's my $.02 and what I consider to be a reasonable line of thinking:

First, the whole Tim Tebow things is ALL media driven. People don't hate on Tebow because he's a bad quarterback, there are other QBs in the league who are just as bad that don't get the haters that Tebow does. People are Tebow haters because they think he's overrated. Regardless of whether or not you think that's true, it's not his fault. He doesn't ask for the attention and even does a good job of deflecting it when constantly barraged by the media about it. Tebow-mania is not his own doing, it's entirely drummed up by the media, and yet people want to see him fail because of it. Seems unfair, no?

The only two reasons I could see wanting someone to fail are because of a rivalry (so I get Chiefs or Raiders fans rooting against Tebow) or because you have an issue with them on a personal level (so I get someone rooting against a Michael Vick or a Tiger Woods, although in both of those instances I don't). I can also see rooting against someone if they're really self absorbed or create their own Media hype (anyone remember TO). Tebow doesn't really fit any of those though, at least for most of the country. Even people here in Dallas, alot of guys at work just want to see the guy fail because they think he's over-covered and they hear too much about it. He doesn't create that, so wishing him ill will because of it seems petty.

Then there's the religious factor, which again people tend to be on extreme ends. You get guys saying things like 'the religious nonsense has to stop'. What religious nonsense would that be, exactly? The guy talks about his faith, but has been very careful about not crediting god for a win or something like that. Saying something like 'god helped us win today' would be nonsense, but to my knowledge he hasn't done that and has even gone out of his way and joked about it, knowing how absurd that would be. So I ask again, what religious nonsense are you talking about?

Then you get guys on the other extreme saying things like he 'could inspire a Nation to rethink their relationship with God'. Whoa there buddy, easy. He's a good guy and wears his religion on his sleeve, but I think you're giving him a LITTLE too much credit. He's a great example for kids and adults alike, but he's just a guy - he's not our 'savior' and I think that mentality is what turns so many people off.

I think if more people would just sit back and objectively evaluate things we'd have many less people on the extreme ends of the issue, but as usual as soon as you introduce religion into any discussion you have people part like the Red Sea.

The objective evaluation is he's a good guy who has at least appeared to have inspired his team to win and make some noise in the early playoff picture but who, by virtually all measurable stats isn't a great QB.

I"m actually rooting for the guy because he stands up for what he believes in (even though I may not believe the same thing) and because by all accounts he's a great guy and I like to see good people do good things.

Very nicely stated. I agree completely. Too much on both sides. Let the kid "mature" and don't herald him as a messiah. Couldn't have put it better myself. I'm sure he'll ramp up his game next season. And Denver also has to think about what kind of "offense" they want to run. Running a college offense with Tebow as your QB sets you up as being "one dimensional", defenses will read that and stop it-in the long run. Look at what N.E. did last night!

On the other hand, if Tebow improves his passing game that's another story. I say give the kid a chance. I don't, personally, care whether he praises Jesus, Buddha, or Allah. That's his business.

Should be some interesting play today!

He's an inspirational leader. Even nay Sayers would agree to that. He sometimes can throw a nice spiral but many times he uses his strength to shotput a chicken twenty yards. Tebow is working on his mechanics to be more like Tom Brady in order to stop the chickens from wanting to cross the road on their own. He's getting better and with his work ethic can be better than other qb's in the league. My wife can throw a tight spiral with velocity. She uses mechanics not strength to do it. So Tebow has a chance but he has to have better field awareness and has to stop trying to throw chickens down the field. It's hilarious when he does that but good receivers have helped him get credits for W's.
I hope he sticks around. Actually I have Faith that he will be around for a longtime. This was a great beginning to his career.
I also agree with the point made already in the previous posts that he doesn't try to give G the credit for a win. It's obnoxious when players do that.

Nobody would have beaten New England tonight, that was a monster performance.

Amazing how such a positive role model like Tebow has all these haters while so many scumbags in the NFL are worshipped. Pretty impressive to think he took over a team that was 1-4 and looking at being a finalist in the Andrew Luck Derby, and found a way to lead them into the playoffs, including beating perennial Super Bowl contender in Pittsburg.

"Pittsburg" was expected to beat Denver, but no one was saying they were super bowl contenders. Kind of hard to when your RB, O-line, and D-line are all out, they would have gotten destroyed the next week even if they won. Now He gets way too much credit for that game when the team he beat BARELY got by Cleveland:eek: the week before.

I truly don't think Tebow gives a **** what anyone says about his faith. He is very comfortable in his own skin. He does care about what people say about his technical skill, but hasn't had a QB coach that could teach him how to improve his technique under pressure. He falls back on his comfort zone of using his strength and size to escape trouble. When and if he gains true pro level QB technique, the Broncos will be hard to stop.

If someone would simply tell him he isn't allowed to throw the ball unless he is squared to the sideline with his right foot straight down the field, he would complete twice as many passes. Watch the successful completions in the Pittsburgh game and this is evident. His natural stance is squared to the line of scrimmage and his power then comes from side-arming it. It just isn't effective in a world of 6' 6" 325lb athletes with a 24 inch vertical leap.

If his skills grow to match his heart.......watch out NFL!!!
