Found a set of SDA-SRS 2's for a price that I would be insane to pass by, I will be picking them up on Saturday. These will be stored at a friend's house for a bit, then find their way into my HT setup when we move in a few months. I will post pics soon.:cool:

Don't know yet on the PP/PB yet, but who cares really. They are SDA-SRS2's for 400 bucks less than a set of 1c's:loneranger:

Well, I kinda do or I wouldn't have asked. Just pure curiousity.

Wish I could answer that one, but I have not picked up the speakers yet. The owner had no clue what I was talking about when asked. I do plan on upgrading them to the hilt however. is there a version of these that cannot be TL'd?

Far as I know, the B/B is the only model that CAN be TL'd.

    I've successfully added 5.8uf caps and RDO198-1's to the 1986 blade/blade model.

1987 and later pin/blade models can only handle RDO194-1's.

Now those are great speakers that can be found now-a-days for 750.00 or less and are AMAZING!

    Congrats.

The Blade/Blade version I had took some amperage to power them. As you know, the Carver Sunfire 600/2 Sig. did that very easily.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

You bring up a good point. The blade/blade model is 4 ohm, and pin/blade models an easier to drive 8 ohm.

Before I got the Sunfire, my Onkyo M504 or M502 would get to hot to touch after a prolonged listening session with the 4 ohms drawing that current.

The Sunfire doesn't even know or care what it powers. It never got more than luke warm no matter what or for how long.

+1 on that. Powering my B/B SRS2's with the Sunfire Signature 400/5, and it's got plenty of power to drive them to listening levels way beyond my normal. And OMG the sound!! Huge soundstage, Bass to die for, and so musical! I really do think this Sunfire and the polks are a match made in Heaven!

Gee John! You're STILL in an apartment? I had you figured for a guy who'd have a beach house in Malibu by now and be rubbing shoulders (noses?) with Charley Sheen. Get with the program. You're in Ca. now!??

And SDAs, again! Aren't you "back-sliding" there! lol

    Have fun!
