Did you glue the gaskets to the driver? If so, what adhesive did you use?

    No. Don't glue them. The screw pressure will seat them.

    The originals were glued for reason. Any white glue should do the trick. Alrene's Tacky Glue works great.

    Why is that? Seems a bit redundant to glue them. Other than from a manufacturing standpoint and ease of assembly.

    Gluing them will keep them in place. Like F1 said elmers glue or equivalent should work.

    That's sort of what I thought. So will laying the speaker on its back to install them and letting the pressure stick them to the driver. They wont stick to the wood on the cabinet so... I don't glue mine. I don't like extra adhesives. Either way I'm sure it work fine,.

    I just sniff the glue then install the gaskets.Works fine.I think.:eek:

    Gotta be that rubber glue or it ain't worth sniffin'. LOL.

    I was building the woodwork and AV installation for a Prevost Coach some years back and had to apply a large area of contact cement. I was young and thought "Hell , I'm gonna spray this from a paint gun"

    I promptly learned it wouldn't spray so I thinned it with lacquer thinner then spent about an hour in the back of a bus with this mix and no respirator.

    That might explain a lot .lol

    I just use a glue stick, it doesn't dry hard and is fairly easy to get off if needed.

    You use that just to hold it in place long enough to put the screws in or is there any other reason glue would be necessary?

    They don't have names for all of my issues lol!

    I would think that the glue would be less necessary if you've got a nicely torqued set of Larry's rings in there.

    i saw this link once and from then on I am terrified of all things gooey near my speakers. I believe it was non-Newtonian fluid. Really freaky lol.

    Nope ...no liquids for me of any kind near my SDA.
