Obviously, I'm a homer...but cant think of anyone else? Do you mean you can you only think of who is playing today? How about the most efficient QB in the league who is resting this week because of his work this year. Go A Rodge...

Drew did/is having a great year as well. Although voters aren't "supposed" to take playoffs into account...my guess is that whoever does better in the postseason will win it. Drew is making a late season push, which a lot of times, turns into the trendy vote.

    A. Rodger all the way 122.5 passer rating, 45 touchdowns with only 6 int's and he sat out the last game. The most important 15-1 record. Hands down the best QB out there. 51 touchdowns total for the QB's

You can't think of anyone else? Did you even watch football this year? Rogers has had a better year with fewer weapons, I'm sure he'll win the vote convincingly...

When you say Rogers has fewer weapons, do you mean a complete lack of a running game? When the Chumps (Chiefs) shut down the passing game of GB, well you see what can happen.

Every team has bad games. There's no perfect team out there. Look at the Saints they lost to the RAMS and Buccaneers, which are 2 terrible teams.

Look what the Packers did last season with no running game...:loneranger: and they had a ton of key players hurt.

True, every team will have bad games. Just saying the odds are against a 1 trick pony. They have nothing else to fall back on. Not trying to take anything away from GB, they have been the dominant force the last two seasons. But take away the pass and they are mere mortals, at best.

If the voters were to follow exact definitions, Peyton Manning would own the MVP award this year.

What did drew do to set his self apart from the rest besides 5000+ passing yards?

Those attributes have nothing to do with winning the NFL MVP award. Sad but true.

Well they should! I am not a Saints fan but Brees is one of my favorite players in the league. As an old man that loved the Unitas years i see the same type of humble guy that loves the game and gets the job done as a team player.
A great role model for kids.
Sadly too many kids (and parents)think guys that are friggin thugs are somehow cool.

Stats and team play is the key. While I do agree the Saints are good but not many teams go 15-1, We see 13-3 (Saints) more frequent and another thing you dont see is ONLY 6 ints all season with 45 td's and a 122 QB rating (record). It's rare. You can't argue record breaking stats.

Lee I do agree. Not many QB's do what these two guys have done period, IMO there will be no wrong vote here.

The 15-1 13-3 means nothing to me we're talking 2 games and to be honest I hope This is the NFC Championship game. and for the record I was hoping GB would sweep the season but now I'm hoping for a killer NFC Championship game as I would put money that the winner of that game wins the Super Bowl..

The votes are already in... so the postseason can't account for anything. If all the packers and Rodgers cared about was records, they could have broken the same ones as the saints and brees... we have too much class to throw 50 yard passes with 2 minutes on the clock and a 35 point lead though.

The records the Saints, and drew brees broke had nothing to do with Just wanting, and careing about breaking any records,The records got broke because of an elit qb, and his team during the season, Arron rodgers, is also a great qb, but manny seem to forget that he watched, and learnd from Brett farve, for awhile, what to do, and not to do, Farve choked because he took to many chances, being reckles when it counted the most,, the big games, Rodgers, knows better,

    OK a couple things...

First, post #28 has some of the worst grammar I've seen, hard to take anything I read there too seriously :-)

On the more serious side, I can't give a guy the MVP award for the league when I don't even think he's the MVP of the team. I think Sproules is the MVP of that team. I know that's not going to be a popular point of view, but I think he's the best player on that team and the reason they've had a better year this year than last.

Sproules really took that team to the next level. When you run like he's been running it opens up the passing game and that's what we're seeing now.
