RT55 Help Needed Thanks! Newbie...

I have an older pair of RT 55 speakers and one speaker has no bass. I checked to see if there were any loose connections and everything seems fine. I don't know anything about speakers...would it more likely be a blown bass sub or would it be the controller box/crossover in the back of the speaker and is there a way to test each component with a multimeter or something else? Are parts even available for this speaker and is it even worth trying to fix??
I have had these speaker for 15 years and still like them so thanks for any help offered!!

Have you checked the gold jumpers between the posts? Try hooking up speaker wire to the top posts then the bottom posts to see if the sound changes. You might want to swap them out for wire if you haven't already done so. Yes you can use a multimeter on the bare driver contacts to see if they show any ohms or of it reads nothing you have a blown speaker.
btw welcome to the club.Main Surround -

Done and done! Thanks, ran the speaker wire across both and it's just like new
What kind of wire and what gauge do you sugggest? Right now I am using 12 guage speaker wire...
Thanks again gotta love a simple fix. -
12 is more than enough. The jumpers corrode and get loose, causing the issue you have. Speaker wire between the posts is better anyways.Main Surround -
