Psw111 - doa??

I have a brand new psw111 subwoofer. It powers up, but I get no sound out of it.
Hook-up: Subwoofer cable from receiver's sub-out, into the R/LFE jack on the 111. Crossover on the 111 is turned all the way to LFE. Volume on the sub is turned to max. The power light on the sub illuminates. I have the power switch set to "on".
I've set my receiver to send a test tone to the sub, and nothing. Complete silence. Other speakers in my set-up blast the test tone with no problem. I've cranked the receiver output to the sub to +15db and still nothing but silence.
I pulled the cable off the 111 and plugged it into my old sub, changed nothing else, and I get test tone for days! So I'm pretty sure the problem lies within the 111.
I've also tried: a different sub cable, changing the receiver's crossover frequency, changing the 111's crossover frequencey, and plugging the sub cable into the "L" jack. Nothing made a difference.
I did find a post here that indicates wiring the receiver's front speaker outputs to the sub's speaker inputs using speaker wire might have better results. I'll give that a try.
Any thing else I can try, or is this thing dead on arrival?
Thanks!
Jon

If as you say our old sub worked fine in the same configuration, the PSW111's input is on the R/LFE jack, and after switching subs there is no sound on the PSW111, then I would suggest contacting Polk customer service.polkaudio RT35 Bookshelves

Thanks. I've now also tried taking the speaker wires off of one of the front speakers and connecting it to the speaker-in terminals on the 111. Then sent a test tone to that front speaker. Still nothing but silence. Time to try CS
