MicroPRO 2000 remote

I just bought a brand new MicroPro 2000, and out of the box the remote doesn't work. It will occasionally pick up what I'm telling it to do (about once in 20 clicks), but only if I have the remote literally 1 inch from the IR receiver. I don't really know what to do! I'm sure the battery isn't bad because the plastic tab was securely in place. Also, I tried turning the sub back off and unplugging it for 30 seconds, which seemed to be the first thing to try.

    Call Polk - # in top, right corner of the page. They will send you a new one, I'm sure. However, it *might* not be the remote. I had one that had either a bad IR receiver or bad wiring (which is basically embedded in the cabinet), so they ended up sending me a new cabinet. Either way, I'm sure they'll take care of you. Polk CS is excellent, but you do have to call them. Other option is to go back to your retailer.

    Great, thanks for the advice! I'm actually experiencing a different problem also, but I'll make a new post with a more appropriate title for that.
