SurroundBar6000 IHT - Trouble Syncing Subwoofer

Just unboxed the SurroundBar6000 IHT and I'm not able to get the subwoofer to sync with the bar.
The surround bar plays audio fine (optical source 1), and the green LED on the underside of the bar is blinking slowly... about 1 second on, 1 second off.
There is a green LED on the back of the subwoofer blinking at about twice that rate.
I have attempted the manual instructions a few times:
1) Power bar + sub off.
2) Power on bar.
3) Hold sync button for 3 seconds (until LED blinks green).
4) Power on sub.
5) ... wait...
They're about 5 feet apart and shouldn't be experiencing any interference in the area. Help?

Have you tried powering both down, powering both back up then hold the sync button? I don't see how the bar can sync with the sub if it is off.

Yes, I have tried waiting until both are powered up and then holding the Sync button for 3 seconds. No avail.
I suspect the instructions tell us to hold the Sync button on the bar (while on) and THEN turn on the sub because the sub goes through an auto-sync on power-up.
I've got an email into the customer support group, I'll provide that feedback here. -
Good luck and welcome to club polk

I am also having this problem though my subwoofer switches from blinking green to blinking red (maybe orange, but looks red to me). I do have other WiFi devices in the immediate area, but I have changed the channel on my router (both 2.4 and 5 Ghz) and put it into a low-power mode to reduce its signal strength. I have also - with all WiFi devices on - synced the two hoping the channel hopping would find an open frequency. Nothing seems to be working...
