Not really, when Jerkyboy's dead, write 'em a check and they'll dispose of the body. He won't care.
    Works for me...

Absolutely....the responsability lies with the individual. My problem with CC is they make it too easy for a person to put themselves in that situation. Just like when they made it too easy to buy a house. What happened ? We wound up bailing them out anyway, the banks, some homeowners. So while you or I maybe responsible with our money, we still in the end pay for those who are not. Thats another subject all together, but on the surface I absolutely agree with you.
I think we agree on this. I was one of those young kids who ran up some debt on a couple of store branded cards. However, I took responsibility for my mistake and worked to pay off the debt; I didn't leave it to default like many others would have. It did teach me a good lesson though. It was just unfortunate that I had to learn the hard way.

Thanks for adding those. Those men are just as heroic IMHO as those that rushed in to save lives a decade ago. My hardhat is tipped to each of them.

    Who uses cash these days?

Umm...I think the vast majority of people still use cash. It's all that I use. I don't even have any credit cards anymore.

Credit cards and all that crap slow everything down. I really get a kick out of it...I remember seeing those commercials showing a bunch of people going through a line at a store...everyone using credit cards and moving right along. Then someone with cash shows up and it's like the world just screeches to a halt. In my experience, the exact opposite is true. When I'm waiting in line at a store or gas station, most people I see are paying with cash and moving right along...then someone uses a credit card and it just gums up the works. You've gotta wait for them to swipe the card and wait for it to process, then they've gotta print out multiple receipts and sign one etc. etc. etc...In my experience, it slows things down like crazy.

It seems like some people are under the impression that since THEY never use cash anymore, that the entire world must be the same. The truth is, most people still use cash most of the time. At least that's been my experience.

The new WTC is looking great!! These are the first pictures I've seen of it. It's good to see that NYC is finally moving on and recovering from 9/11.

I agree. Inspiring architecture with symbolism. However, if possible let's leave religion out of this.

If the 9/11 hijackers would have left their religion out of it I would consider leaving mine out, but now (literally) to hell with them.

I'm completely debt free, and have a couple mill lying around. I fail to see the problem here.
