Brand new DSW 660wi and the remote isn't working

Just got a DSW660wi and it seems to be working great except for the remote. The blue LED on the sub is supposed to blink in response to the remote but nothing happens.
I've pulled out the tab to let the battery make contact and even removed the battery and checked it with a multi-meter: 3.3 volts. The + side is facing up in the little battery tray.
I'd take the remote apart and make sure that the battery is making contact inside the remote but I have a feeling there are screws beneath the front face sticker and I'll probably ruin that trying to take it off to get to the screws.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!
Rob

Does the sub respond to the buttons on the back panel?
I would suggest calling Polk Customer Service.polkaudio RT35 Bookshelves
polkaudio 255c-RT Inwalls
polkaudio DSWPro550WI
polkaudio XRT12 XM Tuner
polkaudio RM6750 5.1
Front projection, 2 channel, car audio... life is good! -
Yeah, luckily there are volume buttons on the back, otherwise I wouldn't even know it was working!

UPDATE
I tried programming my universal remote from this remote and it was able to see the commands, so it looks like either a) the subwoofer just isn't receiving them, or b) the remote is working, but sending out the wrong commands (seems unlikely).
I didn't complete programming my universal because it's just going to send out the same IR sequence that the original remote is sending out so it shouldn't make a difference... -
UPDATE - FIXED
It's fixed! I called customer support and talked to Paul. He said they've been hearing about this. It turns out that one of the little plugs on the main board can get loosened up during shipping. He said that if I'm handy I should take off the back panel and re-seat that plug. There are a couple back there, but the one you want is the one with three wires going to it (the other with only two wires is for the blue LED in front). I removed that plug, plugged it back in and then the remote started working!
