When I look at youtube videos, she more closely resembles the pug/boston mix, especially the coloring; but her legs are relatively long, and she is slender. Maybe just the runt of the litter? The videos of Boston/chihuahua mixes almost always have the large ears, rather than her small "pug-like" ears--and they seem much more stout in build.

Steve, ever see those doggie ramps they make for pools as an add on ? Just a suggestion if you don't have stairs in the pool for the pup to get out.

I've got steps at the entrance, and a swim out on the deep end. The swimout is probably too deep for her size; but I think she could exit from the steps.

My "petite" BT is built like that. She's very slender compared to my others. It is becoming more and more popular for the BT and Pug breeders to breed them smaller, so I don't at all think it's out of the question that she's a "Bug".

Here's a pic of her (Sadie). I wish I had a picture handy of her next to the others so you could see the difference.

    Steve,
She is adorable man. Congrats on getting a new addition to the family and good on you for rescuing her. Its amazing to me that people can just give up these animals. Our next dog is definitely going to be a rescue.

Update: Monkey-face had her follow-up, everything looks great. She's definitely feeling better, and beginning to show her "horns"...LOL. Bev just loves her to death. She's just about completely house-broke; she's only had 2 mistakes, and that was because I wasn't watching her well enough. We're getting her "patterns" down now, but until she's 100% she'll only have very limited access in the house. She's also a bit of a chewer (caught her trying to chew the leg of our table--thank god for rustic furniture!) --so I have to break her of that habit. I picked her up a Hartz chew bone, and she tears that thing up. She's sleeping in a kennel at night, and after a couple nights of drama, she settles right in now. I've been feeding her Natural Balance "Ultimate Formula" dry food, and she really likes it. It's a little pricey, but as small as she is, a 6lb bag lasts quite a while.
