Error trying to leave feedback

In the For Sale forum, I am trying to leave itrader feedback for another user after completing a transaction. When I click on the link next to his name, which should take me to his itrader feedback page where I can submit new feedback for him, I get the error message:

"jwhitakr, you do not have permission to access this page."

What gives?

More than that, its never worked since I was a member so going on 2 years I think..

Any mods have an update on this?

It sounds like an issue with the access rights / security setup within vBulletin ... which should be fixed fairly easily.

I remember some post from a moderator about it...seemed it said not to make a big deal about the feedback system not working, that their were other priorities and suggesting a testimonial type bump for the seller in the FS thread itself if you have done business with the seller.

There's a problem with the upgrade, not sure what it is, or why it's taken this long to figure out...but for now the feedback system is out of service. These things happen and we're just users here. It will work itself out.

The problem started long before the upgrade, so that's not it. Regardless of whatever the problem was/is, it should have been fixed by now.

You're not reading....the upgrade was supposed to fix that and as stated, I'm not sure what it is exactly but it is way overdue to be repaired. I agree.

Cut backs .....nothing but a cut back.

I don't think we'll ever see that extra perk on this site ever again. Heck, we're lucky just to have this site since back then when it was eliminated or fell off or crashed.

So now a sale gets a thank you post and we move on....
Just as well since members who had many sales here made bad on some transactions and all hell broke loose for a while.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Thanks for the update Doro. I am not trying to complain ... just wanted to make sure the mods knew that this is a feature that was quite useful for us users and it is one that is missed.

Isn't that the exact point of the feedback system, so that we know which users made bad on transactions? I don't particular care to read through all of the drama and the "he said / she said" posts ... much better system is to have the itrader working properly so that we can see a history of transactions and then judge for ourselves whether a user is trustworthy to do business with.
