My cat made a small rip on the membrane between the box and the speaker and I'm wondering if I can fix it (glue) or is the sub ruined? What kind of membrane was used for this sub and if I can fix it how do I do it?
Thanks for all the help.

When you say membrane, are you referring to the speaker surround? If it's rubber you can fix it with super glue, which I've done. Loc-Tite makes a version that remains flexible and is great for rubber. I bought some at Lowes.

If it's foam, you can buy a kit to replace the foam which includes a new foam surround. Several companies sell these kits - Google it.

The PSW10 surround is foam, and I recommend refoaming if there's a tear. It's much easier to do than it sounds. You can usually view instructions for the refoaming kits before you buy them.

You might be able to repair it temporarily with a dab of flexible glue until you have a chance to refoam, but the glue will likely affect performance.
