What should I do with the sub

What should I do?
PSW350 sub with the rm6600 speakers and a Samsung receiver.
Sub just stopped working. I think my son had connected the cable to the line in left side by mistake for a while instead of LFE that I use. Sub moved for xmas tree.
Green light is on but other than that acts like no power going to it. I use the LFE input.
Anyway was working ok for the past week.
If I listen really close I can hear some bass coming from the receiver.
Can hear the load hum if I disconnect cable and for a split second while I reconnect.
Is it time for a new sub. What would be the best model sub for me? Do not want to run new cable in the wall and under house. So need the LFE connection and need it to power on and off automatically like my psw 350. This one did put out way more bass than we ever used. So to save a little space would like to go with a 8? instead of this 10?
Thanks for any suggestions

Just a suggestion. Check the sub level on your receiver, and also the volume knob on the sub. Also your sub cable could be the culprit. If you have another, or even a shorter interconnect to test with, try it. Does it work when you hook it back up to the left input? It can be run that way, just make sure the x-over dial is set to max so your receiver will do the filtering.
