SDA1C $550
Mundorf resistors and Clarity Caps. Upgraded IC. These really sound great and look sharp. No snags in the cloth (that I've found). They have served their purpose and it's time to put my Studio's Back in place. I really have no room and the wife won't let me buy anything else till I weed down the pile. My next move is one of those Audio Space tuber and an Ipod for the 5jr's in the bedroom. Any way these gotta go. I paid 550 and met half way. I'll do the same.
Sunfire 5/200 $750 plus shipping
I didn't fix the light (The bulb is out). In fact all I did was plug it in. I'm sure most have read the story I simply don't need it 'cause I'm keeping one it'll be the biggun  I DON'T have the manual but I'll ship it double boxed in original packaging.
I'm not sure if this is against the rules so if it is delete this line please....I will entertain trades of compact tube integrated or tube pre/amp combos in Like New condish. I am not interested in any other trades.

Beautiful gear man. I'd love the 1C's just don't have the cash right now. I'm trying to sell some gear locally and if Santa was good to me early then just maybe. Curious on the meet halfway deal- where are you located? GLWS I'll be watching and if still avail in a few weeks then I might have to make a road trip depending.2-ch System: Parasound P/LD 2000 pre, Parasound HCA-1000 amp, Parasound T/DQ Tuner, Phase Technology PC-100 Tower speakers, Technics SL-1600 Turntable, Denon 2910 SACD/CD player, Peachtree DAC iT and X1asynchorus USB converter, HSU VTF-3 subwoofer.

I guess I should have added a zip code, hehe, 61483. About an hour south of the quad cities/Moline.
I tell ya John, With gimpods boards it's a snap. I started about 1:30 today and they were playing at 10 pm. I would not even consider modding an old sda board. for a cnote its not worth the hassle.
I also squeezed in the second half of Deathly Hallows, Dinner and a 6 pack of beer lolToo much **** to list.... -

Hi Dan,
I spoke to you at 2:30'ish Eastern time. Per our conversation, I'd like to buy the Sunfire pending your testing of the inputs and my confirmation that it'll physically fit in my rack. I'll call you tonight to followup.
Unrelated, but curious on your 1C's... you're side panels have wood on the rears and mine doesn't... did some revisions of 1C's have different side panels?
Jim
Edit: My TFM-42 is advertised as 3.5x19x10.5 and it fit's fine with the rack ears installed, so the 19" width should not be an issue.Yamaha RX-2600 receiver, Nakamichi Dragon, Mitsubishi HS-U80 VCR, Pioneer DVL-90 LD Player, Sony BDP-S550 Blu-ray player, Sony CDP-X555ES CD player, Carver TFM-42, Carver AV-634, Panasonic TC-P54V10 plasma, BenQ W1070 PJ, Fisher MT-90 turntable, AKG-K340 headphones, Polk SDA-1C mains, CS-400i center, FX A4 surrounds, Rti A1 surround backs -
It was a late revision that took place in my garage. I liked the look of the SRS line and thought that it would enhance and modernize the look of the 1c's. :biggrin:The Gear... Though I fully trust the gentleman I purchased it from, and the pro-theater installer that tested it, I have (and am right now) listened/ing to all channels driven via xlr input. It sounds clear and smooth. Auto on works as it should. It's a nice piece of pie!Too much **** to list.... -

I might know of another as well. Sorry you can't call, it's a bummer to be sure. I sent the same PM to both you and Jim simultaneously offering my #. He was the first caller and I hadn't gotten back to the forum yet. Sorry man. Good luck in your search.

it's a little more than a bummer. Or I could have told the internet backbone provider I was on the phone with, because they were having network issues, to just hold on for a little while, but then we might not have been able to post any of this. But then tend to get upset when you do that.Turntable: Empire 208

I am indeed looking for a 425x5, but this Sunfire is a 200x5. I also dont have the scratch for it."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
Haha you attack him and his true colors are shining?
Dave
It was hardly an attack, you have an issue with me take it to PM.

I'm also incredulous that you're threatening to part these out. So if H9's done with your leg, I'll take a turn.
Good luck with a sale. I'm having a hard time wishing you the same with scrapping or truck-backing.Jay

At least you're civil in your complaint. I can respect a difference of opinion. I bought these (After they sat for sale for some time which should have given any and all that had interest a fair chance at purchase) to take front channel duty while I was upgrading my studios. That was their sole purpose and that purpose has been fulfilled. I will now move them to someone that wants them or recover my investment to further fund my journey by keeping a few spares and selling the remainder of the parts.
It would seem to me the more appropriate course of action for those that have such an aversion to the parting out is to buy them whole. At that point the buyer can decide what their fate might be. Until someone elses name is on the pink slip I will do as I see fit.
As for the "Hard enough to come by" ploy ??? I have 2 sets! I know on ebay that might qualify as rare but where I come from that seems rather common. Also, there is a set in SoCal for sale. That's three that I know of right off hand. Not so uncommon in my book.Too much **** to list.... -

Bump. Update. RE: 1C
I swapped the tweets for the ones I had in my studios that had that funny crease.
See this thread http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?126148-WTF-is-this!
I have also swapped one of the 6511's for a scratchy one in the studios. Other than that they are in good shape. I re glued the side panels. I'll take 425 local pickup only. If these aren't gone by the 16th (or paid for anyway) They will be parted.
edit; Oh yea...I also replaced the polys with jumper wires and fixed the xover that was crossthreaded at the mounting bolt:rolleyes:??? and just hanging in there....literally!Too much **** to list.... -
