Thanks for the info Steve. It appears that SQBT can stream FLAC directly from HDTracks via a designated HDD in the wireless network. Pretty cool stuff! I am officially in the market, waiting for the best deal now..(given that its price on Amazon has been fluctuating like the stock market...) - day trading on the SQBT..

I got mine at Amazon a couple weeks ago for $239. I use a usb hard drive, thru my laptop--via wireless. Sounds great! Everything is burned w/EAC into flac files, and I use MediaMonkey to edit tagging info when needed.

I ended up hunting down a duet controller for $159 also from Amazon, as my rack is about 12ft from my couch--so my old eyeballs couldn't see the darn display!

I've been so impressed with the Touchs' performance, that I ordered a channel island linear power supply for it.

I just did an A/B test with my DAC and the Touch DAC by running both connections and switching inputs. The DAC in my integrated amp provided better depth, texture, and a realism that sounded less forced.

so, with upgraded wesborne PS, anyone had a chance to compare it vs. the walwart?

Hopefully you have better luck with your Welborne PS order than many of us. Watch your CC statement as they like to charge you twice! I would check into the Channel Islands PS.

I don't know if he went ahead and ordered one or the other. The one from Taiwan looked like a very good build. I have no experince with either, don't know anyone who has and would do some research before considering ordering one.

Oh yeah. She's tough to buy for though--she's not a jewelry girl, and she doesn't have a lot of hobbies. She does like to read, so I got her a Kindle Fire and some accessories, as well as some other stuff.

    I know...I know...digging up old threads.

I not too long ago bought a duet of CL and have it hooked up with the provided RCA's into my hk3490. I was planning on buying some nicer interconnects like the mit's on sale or signal cable analog II's. I however realized that the 3490 has a digital input.

I know its subjective to what I like, but does anyone know if the DAC in the 3490 is better than the duet? I don't want to buy the digital cable and then find out I don't need it.

Just pick up a Belden 1694A from Blue Jeans. Excellent dig cable, that is cheap too! Do you maybe have some RG6 sitting around the house (or a piece you can use temporarily from another TV)? RG6 makes an excellent dig cable; RG59 will work too. Both of these are used for cable TV/Satellite TV.
