Programming Another Remote Control

I just bought a Polk Audio Sound Bar 6000. I got it all hooked up and ready to use but when I went to program my Directv Remote to control the volume it wouldn't work right. Every time I programmed it all I could get any of the buttons to do were to turn the volume up. I even tried programming the volume down button and mute button first and they worked fine until I programmed volume up and then they all once again started turning the volume up!!! Frustrated anyone no why? :confused:

    Sounds like an issue with your DirecTV remote. Really hard to offer any helpful insight into what's going on other than that. If the Sound Bar receives the proper code, it will react properly, so obviously it keeps receiving the "volume up" code.

    Unless you get the same behavior with the Polk remote--i.e. pressing any button turns the volume up.
