Eviction Sale.....

The Maggies sound incredible.
Ricardo, I can't believe it no more 2-channel. I understand the reason, but I don't think I could get rid of my 2 channel good luck and I predict by this time next year you'll be on here reviewing a different 2 channel rig.
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. I say, "Good on you, Ricardo!" Putting your wife ahead of you isn't always easy, but it will pay off. I had to make the same choice about a year ago. It was HARD! But I'm glad I did it.
Happy wife, happy life.

+100 Way to go Ricardo. If you have a good enough HT setup I doubt you will be so broken hearted with the 2 channel sound from it.BottomFeeder wrote: »I say, "Good on you, Ricardo!" My HT IS my HT so it works out for me. My GF paints too on our coffee table and loves tunes turned up...
However, I must sacrifice this as my alone time to enjoy that 2 channel is about 45 minutes a day at the most or if she happens to be out late. So props to you. We all have to give a little sometimes.
Edit: I'm sorry for being off topic. I forgot this was your for sale thread. GLWS  -

Just browsing your thread, wanted to comment that I like your corner-loaded ficus trees in the used-to-be 2 channel room. I always found that adding foliage brings a calming energy to the music room

Yes, artificial ficus.

The subs have found their new home. Ricardo is as handsome as ever and as much of a gentleman as I remember. I tried to convince him it was christmas and there was a "buy 2 get 1 free" theme this year, but he wouldn't let me carry the Adcom pre out without more money. I guess I should have taken a bottle of scotch and tried to stay longer.
Thanks for loading for me tho! -

If reasoning like adults fails, always try plying them with massive amounts of liquor!! Since I'm fairly new here I'm not sure if this is the proper way to do this, but, I just wanted to comment on what a great transaction I had with ricardo and the Stello was in fantastic shape and arrived packaged extremely well. Working 12 hrs a day/ 7 days a week right now, so it hasn't found it's way into a system yet, however, it gives me one more thing to look forward to when I get some free time. -
Jeff, but you did take two signal 15 ft IC's as a bonus...so I will accept that scotch bottle. Make it 18 years.
Kerry, you will love the sound of that Stello. A real sleeper. It was great dealing with you....we do have a feedback system but not working right now._________________________________________________

Road Trip!
Met Ricardo and picked up the GIK panels and VTI rack. Ricardo offered me his Polk Audio Banner as a bonus and I couldn't resist!
This is crazy, but on the drive home with all those acoustic panels in the back of the 4X4X8 cargo space in my wife's minivan, the stereo sounded better than I've ever heard it. The one typical note bass found an octave, and the right channel that usually seems non-existent came alive.
The rack will go in place quickly, and hopefully I'll be able to get all of the panels in place between other weekend projects.
