That's right. I'm being evicted.....from "my" audio room. "Someone" has some better ideas on how to use it. And I'm fine with that (really). I'll listen to music on my HT, throught the very nice RTA 15 TL's...for now.

Anyway, here's what I have for sale.

In Audiogon (Slightly Reduced price for Polkies, let me know what you like/want).

Modded MMG's (Local pick up only):

Take both for $700. They are GREAT as music stereo subs.

Thanks James. Things are fine...I am not really being evicted from the house or anything.... it's just the wife that is going back to painting and "we agreed" the audio room would be perfect for her stuff

Is there no way to downsize the rig a bit and share the space? Maybe trim back to a pair of speakers, an integrated and a couple source components and a single chair. Those MMG's of yours are works of art, and it would be a shame to part with them. Maybe she can paint room treatments or something.

Sorry to hear that you are being "evicted" Ricardo. That Belles 20A is a good deal (with the Mundorf's and included tubes). If I had the money, I would buy it right now. I hope your HT sounds nice so you don't suffer too much.

Music "is" very inspirational for "painting"! Maybe you should talk this over and convince her to retain a smaller two channel system in the new room?

An artist friend of mine, swore by her music when she painted! Could not do without it!

I am good boys, I hardly listen to my rig anymore anyway and the wife will be happy doing her art in here. I will also collect some cash and buy myself a gift.

They are in fact very nice subwoofers and musical to boot, which is about 50/50 for a subwoofer mainly geared towards HT.

    $200 for a pair of RTi8? That's S I C K guys....and the rest of the gear is priced to move.

The MMG's here are the ONLY pair of MMG's I'd recommend, EVER. They are modded properly and the work is absolutely top notch. It's the **** tease of the Magnepan lineup and this pair is without a doubt a pair I'd personally buy as a huge and vocal Magnepan fan.

Ricardo is a handsome devil to deal with and if his sexiness doesn't force you to buy more, you're a better man than I am. I bought two sweaty tshirts from him over some Chili at Hard Times Cafe, Arlington, VA years ago and have been a fan ever since. I think he drugged my chili with roofies as all I recall is waking up with those tshirts and an empty margarita glass filled with pennies.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

You should buy those MMG's. I will personally deliver them to MD for the price of gas if you do and will get my Tshirts back.

Trey got me under the same conditions with a pair of Vandersteen, of which I've yet to hook up as they sit in the pool room. I dunno man as I have a silly connection on Magnepan loudspeakers. We'd have to chat offline but the work is incredible folks...seriously check these babies out if you want to try a pair of Magnepan.

Nailed it Mark. I have been so well pleased with my baby Maggies that I jumped all the way to the top of the pack. The MMG's Ricardo have are simply stunning to say the least. I would not hesitate to pull the trigger on them, and have no doubt they easily out-perform speakers that cost several ordeers of magnitude more than he is asking for them. Someone needs to grab these.

You guys have no idea of how good the maggies sound with a wood frame. Well, Doug and Brock know.

For those who have followed my crazy search for the right speaker and know what I've owned, I can sincerely say that it would be hard to find a better sounding speaker than a Maggie WITH WOOD FRAMES, regardless of the price.

Not a sale pitch really. Deep inside I don't want these to sell. But I don't have where to put them, and I can always do this to a pair of 1.6's in the future....
