Have any one had any problem with their RTiA7 drivers? The sound has become harshed and distorted especially the mids and highs.

Pull the connector plates from the binding posts and replace them with wire. A lot of time those corrode and cause this issue.

Hard to offer help with the extremely limited information you provided.

    AVR: Onkyo TX-NR708
    Amplifier: Akai AM-73 (105 watts x 2)
    Fronts: Polk RTiA7
    Centre: Energy RC-Mini Centre
    Rear: Energy RC-Mini
    Sub: Energy ESW-C10
    Speaker Cable: Monster XPHP
    CD Player: Akai CD-73

I don't pushed the speakers extremely hard but sometime I would like to listen at slightly below "club" and "live orchestra" sound level.

I had tried that with on difference. I also tried Bi-amp with the AVR and also sound the same.

Bi-Amping with an AVR is useless. No benefit.

You can try to see if it is the tweeter/mids or the wooffer. You would also be able to see if it is both of the speakers or just one.Take the connector plates off and test the sound from the top posts (highs) and then the lower posts(woofer). Hook each one up individually to hear what is going on. Test both speakers individually as well.

When you do test them, ensure the amp and the avr are set with normal settings, not bi amped or anything like that. First I would test them with just the avr powering them and also unhook, other speakers ans sub if you have them.

If both are messing up I would look at what you have powering them. Goodluck.

Only the Hid and Mid drivers sounded harsh and distorted especially female voice, cymbal, etc.
