LSU blew out Arkansas, not surprised though, I mean seriously, they beat them by the exact same margin Bama did. LSU beat bama by 3. people hate. arkansas doesn't play defense, it showed in 6 other games, especially almost losing to Ole miss and Vandy.

Houston could possibly advance. Arkansas won't be in the top 10 after this romping. their SOS is something like 62 so yeah. Still people are mad Bama fans want a re match, when they only lost by 3, people are stupid and stupid people piss me off. LSU never made to the end zone and people obviously think they can if they play them again, maybe once, but they will never EVER score 41 points, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Hold your horse. It's not hate, people just don't like to watch that rematch simply because of the fact that Bama lost AT HOME. And when you lost AT HOME to LSU, even if you beat LSU in the rematch, it won't settle anything since a neutral site. That's no fun.
If you can't take care of your business right AT HOME, you don't deserve a rematch.

Don't get me wrong. I can appreciate a good defense, but a brilliant offense is a little flashier and a lot more fun to watch. More of a personal preference thing, but my preference none the less.

Tell me about it. Would you rather watch the Vince Young-Reggie Bush 41-38 champoinship match or a Tyrann Mathieu-Dont'a Hightower 3-2 rematch?

we're talking about auburn jmwest, auburn that beat bama last year after they had a 24-7 lead at half time. A demoralizing loss. You'd think their defense remembers that one bc all the same players are on this one. Bama won't lose.

Lsu played that same team bama played, arkansas, it almost sounds like you said it was a different team all together., this team also almost lost 4 games to south carolina, ole miss key team, vandy and texas a&m who is losing about every week now. Please explain a little better where you're coming from. Lsu and bama played the same one-dimensional team arkansas has been all year.

And ok state played oklahoma next week and i doubt the cowboys have a win over an ok ranked team after losing to iowa, and btw, oklahoma is trailing them right now. Iowa state i mean.

Oklahoma did beat the cyclones, but they moved down in the ap poll. and I meant to say Oklahoma PLAYS the cowboys next week:) Weeden will have to have the game of his life if they want to win. of course they've already lost an un ranked team so I don't think they deserve a shot at all, because they lost to an Unranked team.

I do not think OSU's Weeden would require the game of his life to beat Oklahoma. That is a bit too much. I understand the thing about SEC in all.. The past several years.. What about the history?

yep, the history isn't the best. I think the only real history in the SEC is Alabama's. This is LSU's best season since 1953, that tells ya somethin there. then Florida hasn't been very good until Spurrier coached there. before that Florida was the Doormat. Georgia I'm not too educated on, but they were good for a stretch not too long ago,
south carolina hasn't been that good until they beat Bama last year pretty much but they've only been in the SEC for a little while.
Arkansas really hasn't been that awesome bc again they were in the Southern Conference with Texas and everybody. Now the better teams are getting top 25 recruiting classes about every year, even Auburn, not that that matters;)
Really Bama was the only real power house in the SEC until that year they hired Debose as a coach lol.
So really everybody that talks about the history of the SEC it's not like it has been recently, Bama basically owned the conference for a long time but they'd lose a few games here and there. the 50's were the worst time for Bama. and the "Ear's" era. he went something like 2-35 lol

Nah, you're right, that was ridiculous to say Weeden would need the game of his life to beat oklahoma lol. there's no telling who could win that one haha, I mean Cowboys lost to the Cyclones, but oklahoma beat them. Texas tech got lucky and beat oklahoma then the Cowboys beat them by 60, it could really go either way.

While I'll admit that the best 2 teams in the country will be in the big game this year I'm not particularly looking forward to a rematch. It's very difficult to beat a team twice, I assume Alabama will win the championship game.

And saying you don't care if they lose their bowl game, I don't get that.

They blew out Auburn. I was little too excited when I said I didn't care, my bad.

if the Cowboys roll this week against the Sooners bama will be knocked out of it since they aren't playing. kinda stinks, LSU wouldn't have a problem with beating oklahoma state, obviously the cowboys would score some but probably wouldn't win. we'll see how it all pans out because Bama won't play until they play in their bowl game.

Well. The old saying does go.. Offense win games, defense wins championships. But, that was during a time, long ago, where there WAS no offense. True, The SEC is based on defense. The Big 12 is based on Offense. It was not always this way. Here is the thing. Do we want the best defenses playing each other and the best offenses playing each other? Or.. A matchup of the best defense against the best offense? The latter settles much more, to me. And, it is much funner. After the games.. Let the talk begin!! hahahaha

haha I understand. my grammar is sub par on a regular basis so I couldn't tell if anything was badly written.

I've grown watching Alabama play football and they have always played good on average defense, this year better than 09' in my opinion, they just happened to have to have LSU to deal with now they are about evenly matched. I would honestly rather my team play against another great defense and Richardson blow them off the line, him getting 89 yards running is a testament to his power and talent. I would rather see the two best Defenses, but unfortunately if the Cowboys win by more than 10 this week they'll probably jump Bama. that's ok too bc they'll end playing stanford probably, that'd be a good game. but the Cowboys lose they're out, Bama's in. no question. the rematch will be on. I don't Ga even keeping up with LSU. it might be a low scoring game but LSU's will blow Murray and the Bulldawgs offense off the field. BUT murray can throw the ball and he does a lot. they haven't played a hard schedule this year and that could either show greatly this weekend or Georgia could pull a miracle. but even if they win LSU will probably move to no. 2, maybe not move at all.

Who knows, we'll see. Maybe, I don't know. phrases I have started using often since 2005 and 06. I thought since Auburn had a close game with Florida and Bama blew them out Bama would beat Auburn.... can't judge like that. doesn't work.

    Like a said, WE'LL SEE.

Oklahoma just blew out Oklahoma, there is a strong possibility they will be no. 2 come tomorrow night. we'll see. I don't see why they wouldn't jump Bama. they won what? 44-10 lol completely insane. I heard someone say Bama and LSU were so far ahead in voting and points that that game wouldn't matter but I"m not so sure now if Bama wont be jumped.

I would much rather see OK State play LSU than Alabama. Alabama has already had their chance and they lost, let someone else have a go. I believe OK State has also beaten more ranked teams, but could be wrong there.

It doesn't matter though, everyone knows we're gonna see Alabama in that title game, too bad though...

Man, it was a crazy day for college football.

No. 3 OSU blew out no. 10 OU in huge rivalry game, 44-10.

No. 20 Clemson blew out No. 5 V. Tech, 38-10

No. 24 So. Miss handled no. 6 Houston, 49-28.

No. 11 Kansas barely edged out unranked Iowa St, 30-23.

No. 17 Baylor put a hurting on no. 22 Texas, 48-24.

And no. 15 Wisconsin slipped by no. 13 Mich. St, 42-39.
