PSW505 Standby Mode

What does the "Standby" mode on the PSW505 actually do, other than change the LED color from green to red?

When I plug the sub into a Killawatt, it draws 12-13W regardless of whether it is in Standby or switched to ON and no signal is present.

Is this expected behavior?

I know the standby on the 660wi says that it only draws something like .4w on standby. Just out of curiosity, are you judging standby from the LED, or where the switch is? Just asking because I know mine takes 10 minutes to turn itself off, so if you are standing there flipping the switch from ON to STANDBY, then you wouldn't see any difference.

Not sure if the 505 works the same way though.

I just tried to check on the power usage statements, but I'm unable to find where I got that. Pretty sure it was .4, but without finding the source - I'd take that with a grain of salt.

I'd just make sure you are checking the power draw when the LED is red, then maybe check it again when it is green (and being used)

Thanks. The LED is definitely red when I'm measuring. And I've left it in standby overnight and the next morning the power is still 12W.
